Hoot, hoot!

3 Apr

If you like owls, you will love this project.

I made this a while ago for my two nephews as a Christmas present. They started a pillow fight with them as soon as they unwrapped them.

You can use mink, fleece, quilting cotton, corduroy or any fabric that is used for making stuffed toys. I made mine with some kind of artificial suede, cotton and felt for the eyes and the legs. I also used ric-rac trim for the bodies. Then used the stuffing from two cushions to fill them up. The final size is quite big and cudly.

If you want to make your own, you can get the pattern and tutorial here: http://weallsew.com/weallsew/files/2011/07/BERNINASnugglyOwl.pdf

Half Moon Bag

4 Mar

This is one of the first handbags I ever made. It is a very feminine bag, small but big enough for all your necessities. It was made using a Keyka Lou pattern. It  was made with first quality cotton fabric bought in a fantastic Japanese fabric shop in the district el Born in Barcelona.

Hello world!

4 Mar

Hi everyone,
Thank you for visiting my blog.
I am a crafter and English teacher based in Lleida, a small city in the west of Catalonia. I live with my husband and my lovely cat, Nin. I have been sewing since I was a child. My mum always had a sewing machine at home. But over the last four years I have taken it more seriously and done my best to learn the tricks of the craft. I mainly sew home decor items such as throw pillows, clothes and also handbags. The reason I am starting this blog is to share my ideas and experiences on sewing and other adventures with the rest of the world.

I hope you enjoy your visit to my blog!
